Security Technical Specialist Position Opening

leave a comment »

State opened up the Security Technical Specialist position for applications this past week lasting until April 15.

I think I’ve mentioned this before, but as an SEO I usually get absolutely nowhere without the assistance, knowledge, and (sadly) muscle of the STSs, Seabees, and Regional Security Technicians (RSTs) I work with.  Conduit bending is not something my 140-some-odd frame can handle for extended periods of time, for example.  STSs can make or break an SEOs tour; you most definitely need them, but the reverse is not always the case.

Thus, STSs play a vital role in keeping our diplomatic community safe both domestically and abroad.  It’s a highly rewarding career and if you’re at all interested I’d encourage you to at least send in your application.
